Happy Tuesday, Activists!

We hope you had a great weekend and we hope you made it to a rally or march on Saturday! The Philadelphia Police Department estimated the crowd at 15,000 strong!

We hope you found the rally and march energizing and a hopeful sign since so many people turned out, because we are in this together.  That gives us our power. So tell your friends and other like-minded people about this Saturday's rally and march and encourage them to come to the next one.  Yes, that's it, there will be more.  We must keep it up.  We'll have more on that coming up soon.

We have many new folks getting these newsletters now.  Welcome!  And check out our actions and projects below.  And of course be sure to hollow us on Facebook, Bluesky, and Instagram.

RALLY COVERAGE

We've heard from many of you that you didn't see much coverage of the rally so we have a list of the coverage we found.

Here's one from the Philadelphia Inquirer and video on 6ABC.

WHYY carried it too of course.  Here's video on NBC10 and more video on CBS.

Here's a Metro Philadelphia article.

Here's maybe the best one, with so many photos.

It was even covered by a reporter with The Daily Kos and the Daily Pennsylvanian

Want to see a gallery of photos?  Here's how --

Check out this set on our Threads feed.

Stroll on over to our Facebook page here.

Or check out our Instagram feed and this Instagram feed

And of course, you need to see Steven Colbert's take on the rallies with his shoutout to Philly.

WE STILL HAVE OUR "REGULAR" WORK -- CALL TO ACTION

This Thursday we expect the House to vote on H.R. 22 -- one of the biggest threats to voting rights we’ve seen in a generation. You may know this bill as the “SAVE Act” but we are calling it by a more accurate title -- the “Silencing Americans Act.” The bill requires voters to show proof of citizenship documents that match their current legal name -- something tens of millions of Americans simply don’t have.

In addition to requiring documents many don't have, the bill would also require showing this proof in person, so it would eliminate online and mail-in voter registration. This bill wouldn’t improve election security -- it would just make it significantly harder for everyday Americans to vote.

It would also cause massive challenges for married women and trans and nonbinary people who’ve changed their names, and disproportionately impact people of color.

Indivisible has more on this bill and Trump’s related Executive Order

Call your House Member and tell them to block Republicans from disenfranchising millions of voters with this horrible bill.

LEAFLET PHILLY!

Are you looking for a fun, easy way to increase voter engagement across Philadelphia (and maybe burn off some of that anxiety we are all feeling)? We've got the project for you — and we are so excited about it!  Every month we'll be leafleting Philadelphia — with the goal of every home, all across the city. Here's how it works.  Each month we will design a door hanger with a simple, timely and compelling message for our neighbors. The door hangers will link Republicans to the chaos and misery they create and show Philadelphians how they can take action — with the ultimate goal of increasing voter turnout over the next four years!  Sign up here. You are the key to this project's success.  The more volunteer leaflet distributors we have, the more neighbors we can reach.  You'll get 100 door hangers to simply hang on every door up and down the block.  It’s quick and easy — no knocking, no lists, just leave the leaflet on the door and stroll on to the next one! You pick the day that’s most convenient for you and repeat a month later.
