We Keep Driving To A Win!

56 Days Until Election Day

Happy Tuesday Debate Day, Activists!

We're fired up for the debate tonight and we hope you are too - whether you're going to a watch party, on Zoom with friends, or watching from the comfort of your couch.  Nonetheless, we keep marching forward with our work reaching out to voters to get the Harris/Walz campaign to a win!

One way you can join us on this drive to a victory is canvassing.  And you can sign up for our 35 Doors Program, talk to your neighbors and answer their questions about the candidates and voting.  Or you can sign up for some of the other options we have listed below.  We have lots of them for you!

Join NextGen registering new voters on college campuses all over the city and state.

Do you live in an apartment building in Philadelphia?  Please let us know if we can set up voter registration in your building lobby.  We are doing this in several buildings thanks to your work getting management approval but we want to do more!

Reply to this newsletter and let us know if you can check with your building.

PHONE BANKING

Calling and talking to voters is super effective!

The technology for talking to voters when we make calls has really improved, so if you haven't tried this recently, try it now.  You'll have more conversations.

Indivisible has some new and exciting phone banks.  These are calls to key voters across different key states, to make sure they're ready to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz!  Join in!

Register for Indivisible's phonebank into Wisconsin for Kamala on Tuesday, September 17 at 6pm ET/3pm PT. Wisconsin is a key state in this year’s electoral map, let’s make sure our turnout is strong enough that Trump can’t even try to steal it again. We will be hosting phonebanks into key areas all across the country every week until November 5.

And here is a list of the upcoming phone banks into key areas of swing states to tell voters about the Harris/Walz team. Click here to find one that works for you!

Also - You can make calls to PA voters with Promote the Vote PA and Turn PA Blue - lots of choices!

HELP THE SUSAN WILD CAMPAIGN

So many of you tell us you want to help with Congresswoman Susan Wild's campaign - a great Member of Congress who fights every two years to keep her seat in a very purple PA House District.  Here is how you can do it!

VOTER PROTECTION WORK

You can sign up now for polling place and other work to protect the vote this year.  The PA Voter Protection Volunteer Team has lots of opportunities, both in person & remote. They will have many trainings for you over the next month or two.

We need thousands of poll observers on Election Day, as well as other important roles. Each role starts with you signing up for the one-hour virtual training before we start the assignment process. If you haven’t done so already, it is very helpful for planning purposes if you sign up for training sooner rather than later.

In Person Roles:

Poll Observers

Join us on Election Day to serve as Poll Observer. In this role, you will be the eyes and ears of the campaign, documenting issues, solving problems, and answering questions as they arise.

Sign up for a training here: Poll Observer Training

Early Vote Monitor

Come help ensure that voters who are voting early in person are able to properly vote!

Canvass Observer

Canvass Observers will ensure that every vote is counted by monitoring the process of counting ballots (often called “canvassing ballots”).

Remote Roles:

Volunteer Recruitment Phone Banks (Remote Opportunity)

We have virtual phone banks every Monday and Wednesday evening at 6 PM! Come join us in making calls to recruit volunteers to protect the vote.

Voter Assistance Hotline (Remote Opportunity)

Help us answer voter questions in real time about the voting process from voters who call or text the Hotline.
