Happy Tuesday, Activists!
We hope you had a good weekend. We know it's been a hard week already. In fact, it's been a hard few weeks given the Supreme Court decisions. And of course the debate last week.
A few things to remember in these stressful times:
1. We are in this together.
2. We know how to do this work successfully.
3. We will help you take action, which will relieve your anxiety.
4. We have already started this work, as you know, and we will be super busy with it until November 5th.
5. It's very simple: If we do the work we will win. If we don't do the work we will lose.
6. Let's. Do. The. Work. If we do it we will win!
Here's our action from this weekend.
We canvassed in North Philly on Saturday and had a GREAT time! We had 17 canvassers who knocked several hundreds of doors and had so many meaningful and long conversations.
As a quick recap - these were voters who do not vote very often. They are not as locked into the issues as we are and very few of them watched the debate. For example, one voter told me that she already knows who the two candidates are and she's made up her mind to vote for Joe Biden. They don't like lying bullies.
But first, make some calls about the corrupt Supreme Court.
CALL TO ACTION
We've had a bad couple of weeks because of the Supreme Court's rulings. And we know they are doing their work to take away our freedoms on behalf of corporate sponsors and the former president. We also know that Democrats need to get serious about SCOTUS. We need to redouble our efforts to insist that our Senators hold the MAGA justices to account for their corruption and abuses.
Here's your Call To Action:
Ask our senators to call on Senator Dick Durbin and the Senate Judiciary Committee to do everything in their power to investigate Justices Thomas and Alito and the other corrupt MAGA justices. They must uncover the truth and hold these justices accountable.
Make sure your senators are being vocal about the need for an investigation into the corruption.
Here are some message Ideas to use on your call:
* Congress cannot just accept a corrupt court and I ask that you and the Senate do everything in your power to expose that corruption and root it out.
* Samuel Alito has shown time and time again that his loyalty is to Donald Trump and the MAGA movement. Yet, he’s ruling on cases related to January 6, like whether or not Trump has immunity for inciting the insurrection.
* Alito cannot trust him to be an impartial arbiter of the law and we cannot trust the Supreme Court while he is on the bench.
* I’m counting on you to call on Senator Durbin and the Senate Judiciary Committee to do everything in their power to investigate Alito and the other corrupt MAGA justices. They must uncover the truth and hold these justices accountable.

CANVASSING
This coming Saturday! We'll be out there again canvassing in the Oxford Circle neighborhood.
We do this because canvassing is the most effective way to get voters to vote. And we'll meet for breakfast at an iconic diner, which is on us!
These are fact-finding conversations, to find out what's on voters' minds and ask about the issues most important in their lives. Simple as that. We're not trying to convince a MAGA voter to switch to a vote for Biden. We just need to get Democrats out to vote!
We'll provide everything you need and a training at the beginning. And you can canvass with a buddy if you want. If you have never canvassed, this is the one for you! You can even carpool with us.
This time we have to ask you to sign up for two events - the breakfast portion and the canvass. Both signups are below.
When: The Canvass this Saturday, July 6, 11:00 AM
Where: Meet at Country Club Diner, 1717 Cottman Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19111
