YOUR CALL TO ACTION
This is a big week in Congress. To put it simply, if Congress doesn’t act by Friday, we go into a government shutdown.
Republicans are pushing their own bill forward without negotiating with Dems, hoping that Dems will simply cave. Democrats came to the table with a simple demand: Guardrails to ensure that the funding allocated by Congress is actually spent -- and not frozen by Trump, Musk and the DOGE kids. Instead, Republicans put forward a partisan bill that actually gives Trump and Musk MORE discretion to use taxpayer funds however they choose.
Democrats have leverage here though. In the Senate, it takes 60 votes to pass a funding bill -- that means at least 7 Dem votes. In the House, the Republicans are such a clown show that they might not be able to get every Republican onboard, in which case Dem votes would be needed there as well.
The Democrats must hold the line -- Call them. A shutdown is on the Republicans. So no Democrat should vote for this horrible bill as it stands now. Tell them they must vote no on this bill that gives more power to Trump and Musk to choose which programs to fund or starve of resources.
Keep in mind that if this bill makes it through the House, there will be a lot of pressure on Senate Democrats to vote for it. But Dems should be doing everything possible to STOP Trump and Musk’s assault on our government.
Republicans will own this if they vote yes. Call Republican Representatives and Senators too. Tell them you won't stand for a bill that puts $2 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, food assistance to poor families, and other critical programs -- all to pass trillions in tax cuts for the richest people who’ve ever lived. With enough pressure, we can stop these cuts.

MAKE CALLS TO WISCONSIN VOTERS
On April 1, control of the Wisconsin Supreme Court is up for grabs. This is one of the most important elections of 2025 -- and not just for Wisconsinites. If conservatives win a majority, they will entrench the state’s gerrymander and get the final say in voting rights cases in the crucial swing state. That’s why Elon Musk is pouring millions of dollars into the race.
Wisconsin Indivisibles are already helping to get out every last vote for Indivisible's endorsed candidate, Judge Susan Crawford. You can make calls to help!
Indivisible has six phonebanks to help turn out the vote.
