This is a quick reminder for two events -- next Monday's meeting and next week's texting party to "talk" to Philadelphia voters. We're looking forward to seeing you there!
OUR MEETING NEXT MONDAY This meeting will be next Monday, October 23rd at 5:30 pm. State Rep. Ben Waxman, who represents part of Philadelphia, will tell us all about what's happening now in Harrisburg. Is the budget finished? What controversial bills are pending? What's been passed so far? How does all of that work? Rep Waxman will tell us, and more! We will also feature at least one statewide judicial candidate -- Judge Timika Lane. She'll tell us about the courts and what's going on in this election (as far as she is permitted to under the judicial ethical rules). So come onto zoom and join us for an information-filled meeting. REMINDER: JOIN NEXT WEEK'S TEXTING PARTY! We'll have a texting party on Thursday, October 26th from 6-8 pm - on zoom or in person. This will be fun! We'll be texting to Philadelphia voters to remind them to vote on November 7th. We'll be doing it on zoom and in a private home, in case you prefer to be in person. We'll send you the address once you sign up. You can pick your location, and we'll all see each other on zoom. We already have a bunch of you signed up so this is going to be a lot of fun!! We'll use an internet-based platform for the texting, so you won't use your phone, your phone number, or any identifying information about you. This type of texting is easy and fun. We'll have a training first and support from moderators throughout the evening. Sign up for whichever location you want - in your own home or in person in Center City.
