NEXT MONDAY'S MEETING -- DAN PFEIFFER!

Be sure to come to next Monday's meeting!  Dan Pfeiffer, one of the experts on Pod Save America, the author of three books, and of his Message Box on Substack, will join us on Zoom.

Dan will explain the best ways to resist the Trump/Musk agenda, and give us aninformed look at how we can make the best use of our time to engage others inmeaningful action. As Senior Advisor and Assistant to President Barack Obama, Danunderstands the workings of the Federal Government and the levers that are usedto enforce – and block -- Presidential powers.

In this time of what many call a Constitutional crisis, we need to hear from those whose ideas are based in practical solutions.

When: Monday, March 10th, 5:00 PM

Where:  Zoom

YOUR CALLS TO ACTION

House Republicans just voted for an budget framework that would kick millions off of Medicaid, food assistance, housing, and other lifesaving programs to fund tax breaks to make the richest even richer.  And the most powerful resource we have is putting attention on them - like in a town hall.

Right now, congressional town halls are commanding a LOT of attention on social media, in the headlines, and in conversations around communities across the country.  So we’re urging Dems to hold town halls over the coming recess -- not just in their own districts but in Republican districts too, to help tank the popularity of the Republican budget.

Call our Democratic House Members and Senators and ask them to hold a town hall during the upcoming recess, which runs from March 15 to March 23.

Let's hold Republicans to account for their vote.  Tell them that you won't stand for a budget that cuts $2 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, food assistance to poor families, and other critical programs -- all to pass trillions in tax cuts for the richest people who’ve ever lived. With enough pressure, we can stop these cuts.

Call Republican House Members and Senators and tell them you want them to hold a town hall during the recess.  And tell them you expect them to vote no on any budget that cuts aid to poor families, food to hungry children so they can pass trillions in tax cuts for billionaires.
