We hope you’re still basking in the glow of the fantastic Biden-Harris victory that you helped engineer in Philadelphia and the country. Now, we’ll switch our focus to Georgia and the runoff elections for the two Senate seats there. Below is the first part of our plan to support them. Sign up!
POSTCARDS TO GEORGIA VOTERS!
We are working with Reclaim Our Vote (ROV), a group we’ve worked with in the past that fights voter suppression. This group focuses on minority-majority areas throughout the South and has an organized campaign for Georgia that we are thrilled to join.
Here’s how it works –
We will distribute the postcard packets to you but we will not be mailing them out this time (more below). The cards use an information label that we will provide with your set of postcards. We’ll also include the addresses, script, and instructions in your packet. ROV is requiring everyone to use their postcards because there is a specific message on the front. So Postal Service postcards are not an option here. We are preparing packets in 50-card sets, so you can order them in multiples of 50.
The postcards need to be mailed by December 7. So decide how many postcards you can complete by then and let us know (see below).
We ask that you donate $7.00 per set of 50 postcards to cover our costs. We understand that in these times some of you may not be able to incur this cost in addition to buying the postcard stamps, BUT we want you to participate anyway. So please don’t let the donation stop you from ordering the postcard packets. On the other hand, if you can, please consider chipping in a little extra to cover the cost for those who cannot.
Here’s how to sign up –
1. Purchase your 35-cent postcard stamps online at this link or at your local post office.
2. Email us at this link to tell us how many postcards you want.
3. Donate $7.00 per set of 50 postcards at this link.
Here’s how to receive your postcards –
If you are in the Philadelphia area, you can pick up the postcard packets from us or if necessary we will deliver them to you. If you haven’t written postcards with us before, please give us your address.
If you can pick up your postcard packets, we have three locations for you to do that – Fishtown, Center City, and South Philly.
If you are outside the Philadelphia area you can order the postcards directly from ROV at this link.
