Happy Wednesday, Activists!
Yesterday's elections showed more signs of momentum, especially the special election in NY-19, where Democrat Pat Ryan beat his Republican opponent. The race is considered a bellwether race to measure Democratic outrage over the Dobbs ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, and general Democratic energy to get out and vote. This is a real toss-up district, with predictions that the Republican would win, so this is a big victory.
Of course, Ryan's win was the result of really hard work. And we can take nothing for granted either, even though Fetterman and Shapiro are supposedly leading in the polls. This will be a fight for our democracy right up to Election Day. We have a lot of hard work ahead of us!
Today's Messaging Matters picks up on the Dobbs outrage too, so tweet it, post it on Facebook, and use it in your everyday conversations to keep the focus on it.
So with that, let's all get working to win together! As usual, below are a whole lot of events for you to get in the game, with more coming all the time. We love working with you!

MESSAGE MATTERS Dobbs Response Message: Care, Not Control
Here's your message for this week. Share it on Facebook, Twitter and use it in your personal conversations!
Freedom MATTERS to me. So I don’t get why right-wing pundits keep dismissing our outrage about #SCOTUS stripping away our rights. I say forcing people to give birth is criminal, and just the beginning. Speak up for freedom! #TruthBrigade
CALL TO ACTION
Pass the Marriage Equality Act

Following the Dobbs decision, same-sex marriage is now on the chopping block for the Republican Supreme Court. Our rights are not only in jeopardy, but Republicans will actively refuse to enshrine them into law without pressure.
Voting against the Marriage Equality Act would be wildly unpopular and put these politicians’ careers in jeopardy (which is why some House Republicans voted with Democrats on it). Call our senators and tell them to vote YES on the House version of the bill.
