5 Weeks Until Election Day
Happy Tuesday, Activists!
We hope you had a great weekend and that you're looking forward to tonight's VP Debate. If you have been waiting to start taking action to get out the vote, now is the time! Of course, I don't need to tell you how much is at stake. You can see the details about Project 2025 on our website here.
The most important and effective thing you can do is talk to voters at their door. So if you haven't yet, please consider getting out of your comfort zone and trying it out. We make it fun, we feed you, and you can go with an experienced canvasser too. So let's get going!
No matter what, the way to reduce our anxiety about this election is to keep working for a win. So sign up to join one of the many options below! We are proud to be doing this with you.
TONIGHT! Join us for the Harris Campaign's Vice President Debate Watch Party!
Join us to cheer on VP Candidate Tim Walz tonight at this wonderful Mexican restaurant. It should be a great time! The debate starts at 9:00 so come any time after 8:00 to get some bites and drinks.
When: Tonight, October 1, 8:00 - 10:30 PM
Where: Adobe Cafe, 736 S 8th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147
Worried about the lack of fact checking during the debate? Check this out! Here's something you can use, that one of our members sent us. On the CBS screen there will be a QR code that you can scan and it will have real time fact checking. But you need to be watching the debate on CBS itself. Here's the article about it.
STATUS UPDATE ON OUR GOTV POSTCARD CAMPAIGN!
You are all amazing! So far, since only last Monday, you have ordered postcards that will go to 63,000 Philadelphia voters!! If you haven't joined in yet, you can read all the details from our earlier newsletter here. Order your postcards using our postcard order form at this link.
A couple of things to remember:
1. We are only 5 weeks away from the election. The last day to mail your completed cards is October 26 if you are outside the Philadelphia area and October 28 if you are in the Philadelphia area.
2. We are getting close to the deadline to order them. So here are your deadlines:
If we ship to you, you must order by October 16th.
If we hand deliver to you, you must order by October 18th.

JOIN US FOR THIS MOVIE NIGHT
Indivisible is bringing to Philadelphia a movie called The Sixth, an in-depth look at the experiences of those who were at the Capitol on January 6th, 2021. It forces us to reckon with the impacts of Trump’s rhetoric on the very people tasked with defending our democracy. Featuring Rep. Jamie Raskin, MPD officers, congressional staffers, and others present at the Capitol, The Sixth uses previously-unseen footage to take an unflinching look at the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.
This is a good event to bring any friends who may have forgotten about what happened that day, or want to learn more about it. And for all of us, while we watch we'll be reminded of what we’re up against.
Sam Adams at Slate has written, “The Sixth is designed to reinvigorate. It might be uncomfortable to look back on, but it’s not nearly as uncomfortable as what might happen if we don’t.” With four years of distance, it’s easy to forget how viscerally terrifying the events of that day were and how close we were to the brink. Join us on October 7th for this riveting movie.
Where: Fashion District AMC, 1001 Market Street Ste 3050, Philadelphia, PA 19107
When: Monday, October 7 at 7:00 PM
PHONE BANKING
Calling and talking to voters is super effective!
The technology for talking to voters when we make calls has really improved, so if you haven't tried this recently, try it now. You'll have more conversations.
Register for Indivisible's national phonebank into Texas TODAY at 5:30pm ET/2:30pm PT. Texas is one of our target Senate races, so join in tomorrow and help us talk to voters about this critical race, supporting Colin Allred, plus making sure they're ready to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
Here is a list of the upcoming phone banks into key areas of swing states to tell voters about the Harris/Walz team. Click here to find one that works for you!
Also - You can make calls to PA voters with Promote the Vote PA and Turn PA Blue - lots of choices!
Tuesdays with Turn PA Blue. Wednesdays and Thursdays with Promote the Vote PA. Fridays with Turn PA Blue. Sundays with Turn PA Blue.

VOTER PROTECTION WORK
You can sign up now for working at a polling place and other work to protect the vote this year. The PA Voter Protection Volunteer Team has lots of opportunities, both in person & remote. They will have many trainings for you over the next month or two.
The Dems need thousands of poll observers on Election Day, as well as other important roles. Each role starts with you signing up for the one-hour virtual training before we start the assignment process. If you haven’t done so already, it is very helpful for planning purposes if you sign up for training sooner rather than later.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS TRAINING
Join the PA Dems Voter Protection Team and the Philly Organizing Team on 9/29 at 2 PM in Roxborough to learn about your voting rights. SIGN UP AND DETAILS HERE.
VOLUNTEER WITH THE HARRIS CAMPAIGN
Please see the most critical needs below:
In-Person Roles:
Poll Observer
In this Election Day role, you will be the eyes and ears of the campaign: documenting issues, solving problems, answering questions as they arise. Poll Observers will be assigned to serve as either an “Inside” or “Outside” Observer. Full and half day shifts available.
Sign up for a one-hour Zoom training here: Poll Observer Training
Canvass Observer
Canvass Observers monitor the process of counting ballots (called “canvassing ballots” in PA). These are 6 hour shifts running from 7 am on Election Day until the count is finalized, which could be several days later.
Sign up for a one-hour Zoom training here: Canvass Observer Training
Designated Agent
Pennsylvania’s voters with disabilities are entitled to limited assistance in casting their mail-in ballots. From now until November 5th, we’re looking for volunteers to help them as Designated Agents–a multi-step process in which the volunteer serves as an authorized liaison between the voter and the elections office.
Complete this form if interested: Designated Agent Signup Form
Remote Roles:
Ballot Cure Calls
Ballot cure volunteers help voters fix their mailed-in ballots that are at risk of rejection.
Sign up for a Ballot Cure Phone Bank here: Ballot Cure Phone Bank (more times will be added soon)
Volunteer Recruitment Calls
We run weekly two-hour phonebanks to call supporters interested in voter protection and get them signed up for volunteer shifts.
