Happy Friday, Activists! What a week we've had! On Wednesday we held our rally to urge our senators to vote YES on the Freedom to Vote Act. Rallies like ours have been held by groups all this week all over the country, telling our senators they need to vote YES on democracy legislation now. Here's how you can amplify the message now: 1. Call our senators - one more time this week! - and tell them to pass voting rights legislation right away and to fix the filibuster to do it. And not to be outdone, last night we had a fantastic meeting with Kathryn Kolbert and Julie Kay, who spoke about the state of women's reproductive rights and their new book: Controlling Women: What We Must Do to Save Reproductive Freedom.
